System Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven System Administrator to join our team in Sofia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow into a DevOps Engineer, gaining hands-on experience with modern automation tools and cloud infrastructure. Initially, you'll manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the network, servers, and devices run smoothly. As you progress, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our development team on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based projects.

You will:

Manage and maintain the company's network, servers, and connected devices.

Install and configure software, hardware, and networks to ensure smooth IT operations.

Create and manage user accounts, ensuring proper access control and permissions.

Provide technical support and troubleshoot system issues for team members.

Monitor and improve system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.

Perform account setup for new and existing team members, including configuring permissions and system access.

Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and recommend innovations for the organisation.

Collaborate with development teams on projects that could include DevOps responsibilities like automation, continuous integration, and cloud management.
Opportunities for Growth into DevOps:

Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Learn about automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab.

Get involved with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
You will need to:

Have a passion for technology and a willingness to learn new tools and systems.

Be familiar with various operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows, Unix).

Have basic knowledge of networking, system security, and backup/recovery procedures.

Be quorious about cloud environments and automation (previous experience is not required but will be beneficial).

Be proactive when solving problems, with the ability to adapt to new challenges.

Have very good spoken & written English.

Ability to explain technical information in a way that is easy for non-technical team members to understand.

Excellent communication skills to work effectively with teams and users.

A patient, professional demeanour with a positive, can-do attitude.
Ideal qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience), or current enrolment in a degree program in these fields.

Previous experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role is a plus but not required.

Interest in DevOps tools and practices, such as automation, continuous integration, and cloud management.
